CENTER TABLE | CRYSTALLINE GLAZE XII
This product is currently sold out.
Admired worldwide, Limoges porcelain is a very pure, soft and delicate material for tableware.
Extremely white, its rarely worked by hand due to its technical complexity, but for these pieces the procedural is completely handmade, so each one is unique.
The smooth surface of porcelain is a perfect ally to crystalline structures, that have the look of a frozen flower garden or suspended galaxies.
This technique aims to reproduce the natural formation process of mineral crystals in nature.
When the earth’s magma creates a slow heating process, the molecules arrange themselves to form crystals. When the heating process is long, the crystals grow and become visible. The more time that passes, the larger the crystals become.
Similarly, the enamel also has to go through a fast heating process to a state of melting liquid, and then in a very controlled downward curve, cooling to certain temperatures.
This allows the formation and first growth of nuclei crystals after the needles, and halos in a third stage.
